Strawberry Cheesecake Dump Cake


Ingredients:
– 1 box (15.25 oz) vanilla cake mix
– 1 can (21 oz) strawberry pie filling
– 8 oz cream cheese, softened
– 1/2 cup granulated sugar
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
– 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)
– Fresh strawberries, for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the Oven:
– Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture:
– In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract together until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
3. Assemble the Cake:
– In a 9×13 inch baking dish, spread the strawberry pie filling evenly across the bottom.
– Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the strawberry filling. It doesn’t have to be perfect; just ensure it’s distributed evenly.
4. Add the Cake Mix:
– Sprinkle the dry vanilla cake mix evenly over the cream cheese layer. Do not stir; just spread it out evenly.
5. Pour the Butter:
– Drizzle the melted butter over the top of the cake mix, ensuring to cover as much of the mix as possible.
6. Bake:
– Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cake is bubbly.
7. Cool and Serve:
– Allow the dump cake to cool for a few minutes before serving. Dust with powdered sugar and garnish with fresh strawberries if desired.
