Portobello Mushroom Pizzas

A low-carb, gluten-free alternative to traditional pizza, these Portobello Mushroom Pizzas are a perfect choice for a healthy, flavorful meal!

Ingredients:

  • 4 large portobello mushrooms
  • 1 cup of your favorite pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Toppings of your choice (e.g., pepperoni, sliced bell peppers, onions, olives)
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the Mushrooms:
    Clean the portobello mushrooms and remove the stems. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, gill side up. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Assemble the Pizzas:
    Spoon about 1/4 cup of pizza sauce into each mushroom cap, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the pizza sauce, then add your desired toppings.
  4. Bake:
    Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the mushrooms are tender.
  5. Garnish and Serve:
    Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh basil leaves. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious Portobello Mushroom Pizzas!
